Activities, workshops & events
- MOVIE: Meet our guest Artist, Fiona Clark. Hear her story at the movie 'Fiona Clark: Unafraid' followed by a Q&A session. 7pm Thurs 23 Jan at Hokitika's Regent Theatre.
- TŪREHU TAONE: Create your own Tūrehu (beach fairy) at a drop-in workshop. 11am - 2pm Sat 25 Jan at the caravan.
- HOKI ZOO: Find a piece of driftwood that looks like an animal, give it eyes and a name and add it to the zoo. All week on the beach.
- PENGUINVILLE: Buy a section ($2) and build a house for a Little Blue Penguin. Prizes to be won. All week on the beach.
- TREASURE HUNT for kids with the Red Moki from Hoki. FREE! 1-2pm Sunday, meet at the caravan.
Sculpture Registrations
- Registrations open 10am, Wed 22 Jan
- 'Work in Progress' signs are available by the Tambo from Sunday 19th if you want to start early.
- Entry fee: Adults, Groups and Families $10. Kids $5
- Registrations close 11am Sun 26 Jan.
Caravan
Come and see our friendly team to register your sculpture, cast your vote, or just have a chat about all the wonderful art going on!
- Situated by the Tambo at Sunset Point.
- 10am - 6pm daily. Closes 3pm Sunday.
Voting
- Voting opens Friday 10am. Vote for your favourite artwork at the caravan.
- Gold Coin to vote, one vote per person.
- Voting closes 1pm Sunday.
Prizegiving
- 2pm Sunday at Sunset Point Domain.
- Followed by PICNIC ON THE BEACH at 3pm.
